About the Farm Work Program in the USA

This on-farm internship is designed to give participants practical experience in vegetable production and sustainable agriculture. Workers will gain valuable skills in planting, irrigation, harvesting, infrastructure maintenance, and marketing.

During the program, participants will:

  • Work Monday to Thursday on the farm (planting, weeding, trellising, irrigating, harvesting, and washing crops).
  • Dedicate Wednesday and Thursday afternoons to farm platform management and community-supported agriculture.
  • Participate in Friday training sessions, including lectures on farm design, soil health, agro-ecosystem management, and food-related social issues.
  • Visit other farms and community gardens as part of the internship experience.
