Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA) 2024

The Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA) 2024 is now accepting applications, inviting qualified candidates pursuing computer science degrees to excel in technology and emerge as industry leaders.

This partial funding scholarship will grant selected students up to 7,000 EUR for the 2024–2025 academic year. It is open to students meeting the minimum qualifications, with a strong emphasis on encouraging women to apply.

RULE­S TO GET AID / ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for the Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA) 2024–25, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university for the 2023-2024 academic year
  • Intend to be enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university in Europe, Middle East, or Africa for the 2024–2025 academic year
  • Pursuing studies in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and commitment to enhancing representation of underrepresented groups in technology

Application Process

  • Interested applicants for the Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA) 2024 need to complete an online application, including:
    • General background information
    • Resume/CV
    • Academic transcripts
    • Responses to short-answer essay questions

Essay Questions

Applicants are required to respond to the following short-answer essay questions:

  1. Describe a time when you tackled a complex problem without a clear solution path. Share your problem-solving process, resources considered, and lessons learned.
  2. From personal experience, discuss a barrier limiting equitable access to technology.
  3. Address the root cause, actions taken to address inequity, and planned future actions.
