One Young World bp Net Zero Scholarship 2024: Because the global carbon budget is limited and running out, we at BP are aware that a swift and systematic shift to net zero is required. It is no longer sufficient for us to have a more balanced energy system that is also dependable and reasonably priced. It has to have less carbon as well. This will necessitate a complete rethinking of energy for both humans and the environment.
BP aims to assist the global community in achieving net zero and becoming a net zero corporation by 2050, if not before. This entails making a significant effort to lower carbon emissions from the business’s operations and output while developing new low-carbon ventures, goods, and services. The scholarship seeks candidates making an impact in one of the following areas:
- Advocating for progressive climate policies
- Enhancing current low carbon energy technologies such as solar and wind
- Improving access to low carbon energy
- Innovating to reduce emissions in households, regions, cities and industries
AID PACKAGES
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal.
- Hotel accommodation between 17 – 21 September 2024.
- Return flights to and from Montréal.
- Catering which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Access to bespoke bp programming including: pre-Summit briefing, a bp buddy from the company’s internal delegation and a post-Summit feedback session.
RULES TO GET AID / ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Candidates must be aged 18 – 30*
- Nationals of all countries will be eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Evidenced commitment to delivering positive change.
- Demonstrated capacity for leadership.
- Understanding of key local and/or global issues
- One Young World will actively seek and prioritise applicants who are making an impact in at least one of the following areas:
